About the Journal

The Indian Journal of Animal Reproduction (IJAR) is the official journal published by The Indian Society for the Study of Animal Reproduction (ISSAR). The first issue of IJAR was published in the year 1981. Dr. A. S. Kaikini was the founder Editor of this Journal. Currently, the journal is being published quarterly (March, June, September and December).

The Indian Journal of Animal Reproduction is being indexed in Scopus (SJR: 0.236, Q3), CABI, ICI, Cross Ref, Google Scholar and Base. The current NAAS rating of IJAR is 4.13 (2026).
