The present case report describes the successful management of dystocia in a 4-year-old primiparous cow caused by a
fetal monster. The animal was presented with a history of prolonged straining for 12 hours at full term. Obstetrical
examination revealed a partially dilated cervix with duplication of the fetal head in anterior longitudinal presentation,
resulting in fetomaternal disproportion. Hematobiochemical parameters are performed to check systemic health of the
dam. Based on clinical findings and obstetrical examination, caesarean section was performed under local infiltration
of the left flank to relieve the dystocia followed by appropriate post-operative care. The animal showed uneventful postsurgical
recovery. This case highlights the significance of early diagnosis, careful obstetrical evaluation, and timely
surgical intervention in the successful management of dystocia caused by fetal monstrosities.
